Overall, the approach to supporting web3 startups is to focus on reaching the right audience for each phase of project development — and doing so within available budget to satisfy stakeholder expectations.

As marketing lead for Wirex in 2017/18, Cyclic Media's strategy director built a marketing team of 18 growing the customer base from 300k (acquired in 3 years prior) to 1.5M (in little over 10 months) — despite various product challenges.

Since then, the Cyclic Growth Framework has evolved based on various client engagements through to 2022.

2022: Web3 Venture Capital Fund

As of 2022, Cyclic Media is working with Helios VC as part of their team to develop a fund strategy and incubator program for allocating private equity into the EOSIO ecosystem (including Blockchains such as Ultra, Proton, Telos, WAX, EOS, Chintai, and more).

NFT Marketing

How a NFT investment turned into a the world's first Crypto Exchange <> NFT Project partnership.

Challenge

We needed to create a way to leverage Cryptospace and HappyLand Gummy Bear communities through partnership.

Approach

Following both brands values, we developed a writing competition where anyone could submit a story of overcoming difficult circumstances. With the overall winner of the competition (based on community votes) getting a 3 ETH Gummy Bear NFT.

Result

The competition received widespread attention by not only HLGB's and Cryptospace's communities, but also external projects joined and wrote stories. Overall a boost in brand awareness for Cryptospace was seen in Twitter and Newsletter signups. HappyLand Gummy Bears' floor price rose during the contest.

Due to the success of the campaign, the brands entered the world's first Crypto Exchange <> NFT project partnership. HLGB holders receive special exchange fee discounts in Cryptospace, and the exchange gets a crypto-savvy audience that knows where the best deals to buy crypto are.
